Shipping
Shipping hedgehogs is very expensive. At this time, I would require a minimum purchase of three hedgehogs to be able to offer shipping services. A flat fee of $300, in addition to the price of the hedgehogs, will be charged for shipping which includes airfare, an airline approved carrier for shipping, and reimbursement for gas/mileage.
In order to ship hedgies, I have to travel 180 miles one-way (Omaha, Nebraska) to access an airline that is willing to ship animals.
Note: With the merger of Continental and United Airlines, I hope that flights that carry animals will begin to access Des Moines International Airport. This would allow me to ship with no minimum purchase and would significantly lower the price of shipping.
